Uber drivers gathered in front of the company’s San Francisco headquarters Wednesday afternoon as part of a “global day of protest” organized in major cities across the world.
The drivers are protesting various company policies including slashed fares that have resulted in less pay, a tipping policy they say is misleading and a five-star driver rating system, according to a list of ten demands handed out at the protest. About 50 to 60 demonstrators waved signs and led chants such as “greed is a disease and Uber is infected” while many other Uber vehicles drove by and honked their horns
